Experiment 2

In this experiment, we use TouchDesigner to explore the multifaceted nature of noise and its functions. By morphing 3D forms, we animate various textures of noise, capturing the dynamic essence of sound. Inspired by ocean sounds, we aim to convey a sense of fluidity and depth, where colors transition from tranquil blues to vibrant corals, and shapes undulate like waves.

  • The forms shows the idea of noises within the ocean—such as the movement of waves, currents, and marine life—reflect its vastness, mystery, and complexity. Just as the depth of the sea holds countless unseen layers and secrets, the "noise" could symbolize the constant, layered sounds that hint at the ocean’s profound and hidden depths. In this sense, it poetically connects sound to the mystery and immeasurability of the sea, where each sound is like an echo of the deep.
